				<title>Minutes of board meeting 5-15-13.</title>

				<description>&lt;p&gt; EAA CHAPTER 90.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;                   Minutes of board meeting 5-15-13.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The board held a short meeting to iron out any last minute problems associated with&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;saturdays Poker run .People had to be assigned to hand out cards at each airport.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Turlock airport was assigned to Ken Scott . Castle airport will be taken care of by Bill McCool.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Dennis Bailey will be at Los Banos and so far no name has been drawn for Gustine airport as yet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;An entrance of $ 20  is required to participate which includes a B B Q lunch.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A 20 minutes video will be shown before things get underway.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Leon Sheaffer offered to park aircraft with some volunteer help.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There was a short discussion about what to do with our simulators ,they still need to be assembled.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It was decided to find some help to get them properly set up ,so they can be used on special events, like Airport Day etc .&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The meeting was adjourned at 8.30 pm ,with 6 members present.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Submitted by  Frank Spyksma,sec.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<title>Chapter 90 First Annual Spot Landing Contest</title>

				<title>Chapter 90 Meeting Minutes February 16, 2013</title>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;           Pres.  Dennis Bailey opened the meeting with quite a lengthy agenda.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              17 people have paid their dues so far.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              The City of Oakdale has decided to raise hanger rents and tiedowns  this year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Hangar rent will be going up to $180 _$185.00 per month and tiedowns $65.00.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Our chapter area rent  so far has not changed, but will posibly be up for revue at a later date.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Taxiway and fencing work will not start until sometime in April.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Dennis is hard at work at getting MOGAS on the airport,price of Mogas is quite a bit less than100LL.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              The demand for Mogas is pretty large ,and Oakdale wants to be one of the first places to carry it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              James Davis has been working on a new location for the new trailor and meeting room.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              The location behind the hangar is not large enough to accommodate it,not enough room to the fence.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Ken Scott reported that his airplane is getting close to finish.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              A membership drive is scheduled for June 20 meeting with a BBQ afterward.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Some members of Modesto pilots assc and members of CAF are contemplating starting an EAA chapter&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Or combining with us.The members did not seem to overwhelmed with the idea ,but decide to check&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Into it further if it is in our interest or not.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Submitted by: Frank Spyksma,Sec.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;                                           Minutes of regular meeting . &lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;JAN  19 2013 .     &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Dennis opened the meeting by presenting a slate of officers to be voted on by the .members.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              President - Dennis Bailey&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Vice President - Leon Shaeffer.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Secretary - Frank Spyksma.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;              Treasurer - Dennis Bailey.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Youth building project Director - Lee Delano.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Young Eagles coordinators - Lon Shaeffer &amp;amp; Bill McCool.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bald Eagles coordinators &amp;#160;- Bill Erb.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The new Board positions were unanimously approved by the members.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tech counselers are Lee Delano&amp;amp;Chuck Keyes.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Program director, club photographer, poker run coordinator, airport open house chairman, and Simulator coordinator is also needed.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Dennis presented an outline of meetings &amp;amp; several events planned for the coming year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A spot landing contest is scheduled for March 16&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;All chapters in surrounding area will be contacted to take part&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After the meeting a spot landing practice session was started,with Bill Erb,Leon Shaeffer and James Davis.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Trying their luck  Not as easy as it looks.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;b&gt;March 16, 2013&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;9:00am Breakfast - Optional&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;10:00am Safety Briefing - Mandatory&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;10:15am Spot Landing contest&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;12:00pm BBQ Lunch&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;$20 Entry fee includes BBQ Lunch&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;$5 Lunch for non-contestants&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Videos of landings will be shown during lunch&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1:30pm Presentation of trophies, chapter Precision Pilot plaque award&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;SPOT LANDING CONTEST RULES&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;All contestants must attend safety briefing at 10am.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Target line across runway will be marked with 6 inch tape.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Line to be displaced at least 500 feet from runway threshold.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Contestants are not to change flap settings after turn to final.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Touchdown before line, contestant will be disqualified.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Distance to be measured from target line to the first touchdown point with no bounce. Ctestant will thhen make a touch and go for second chance, however totat distance will be cumulative.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Only two aircraft of similar performance allowed in traffic pattern at the same time.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;All transient aircraft have right of way.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Judges decisions are final: NO WHINING!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;BE SAFE! &amp;#160;FLY THE AIRPLANE AT ALL TIMES!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;Top two scores from each EAA club will be added together for bragging rights and EAA Pilot Precision Plaque. &amp;#160;See you there!&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<title>A flying golf cart??</title>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;Golf carts can't fly but you can turn your airplane into a golf cart. &amp;#160;It's easy, just throw your golf bag into your plane and fly to JB Golf in Farmingoton, Ca. &amp;#160;JB Golf is located on the SFO sectional just east of Stockton (KSCK) and is marked as J-B on the chart. &amp;#160;It's airport designator is CN29 accrording to Airnav.com. &amp;#160;You can find info on J-B here: &amp;#160;&lt;a target="_blank" href="http://www.airnav.com/airport/CN29"&gt;http://www.airnav.com/airport/CN29&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Prices are $8 for 9 holes and $10 for 18 (playing the same 9 twice). &amp;#160;It is a short part 3 course but who cares because you landed your airplane ON the golf course! &amp;#160;Drag the strip once to warn the golfers you are coming then use your best short/soft field techniques to land next to the 4th fairway. &amp;#160;The strip is 1800 feet long but is only 30 feet wide so keep it in the middle. &amp;#160;The strip is marked restricted on the chart but the owner welcomes any pilot with the skill levels necessary to land on a short narrow grass strip.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here are a few pictures from my recent trip to JB Golf in my flying golf cart:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://airprayer.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/photo-5.jpg?w=950"/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://airprayer.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/2012-02-01_10-53-27_694.jpg?w=1014"/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
