A flying golf cart??

Golf carts can't fly but you can turn your airplane into a golf cart.  It's easy, just throw your golf bag into your plane and fly to JB Golf in Farmingoton, Ca.  JB Golf is located on the SFO sectional just east of Stockton (KSCK) and is marked as J-B on the chart.  It's airport designator is CN29 accrording to Airnav.com.  You can find info on J-B here:  http://www.airnav.com/airport/CN29

Prices are $8 for 9 holes and $10 for 18 (playing the same 9 twice).  It is a short part 3 course but who cares because you landed your airplane ON the golf course!  Drag the strip once to warn the golfers you are coming then use your best short/soft field techniques to land next to the 4th fairway.  The strip is 1800 feet long but is only 30 feet wide so keep it in the middle.  The strip is marked restricted on the chart but the owner welcomes any pilot with the skill levels necessary to land on a short narrow grass strip.

Here are a few pictures from my recent trip to JB Golf in my flying golf cart:

This is a really cool idea. Didn't know Fly In/Out courses existed. Maybe add it to our blog at www.retiredcouplesgolfguide.com
